Why Care More about Care Less Fashion

Care Less Fashion is what happens when you give Cleo Patricia too much free time to ponder her feelings, life, and art…

COVID-19 was a really dark time for everyone involved, but she made the most of that experience by immersing herself in the world of fashion. As the world was finding its way back into the light, she was learning how to use her clothing to create her own beacon of hope. Now, she wants to give others the ability to empower themselves in that same way. This is where you come to embrace your true self and say F@%K the rules.

“Why wear clothes anymore? Besides protecting your “decency”, why does your wardrobe look the way that it does? So much of my life has been about fitting in with my surroundings, even when I had no business being a part of the scene to begin with. I used clothes to aid my survival of childhood by giving the illusion that I was more a part of my surrounds than I actually was. I never felt like me, though. The longer I went looking like someone else, the more I forgot who I actually was.”

How much of yourself did you just see in this anecdote? Society’s many rules have us in a chokehold, constantly saying how to present ourselves to one another. And out of survival, we forget that it is us, the being, that have to get up every day and put on those demands.

By allowing the customer to be a part of the design process, Care Less Fashion is building a brand identity that takes those everyday protective blankets, and converts them into armor pieces, capable of handing the brunt of your daily challenges. The things that have been created by one person has made it possible to reach a diverse range of individuals already. One day, Cleo hopes to see a plethora of artists under the Care Less Umbrella, working together to help self-expression touch all.
